PCA9554ARGVR TI I/O Expanders

The PCA9554ARGVR is an 8-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O expander from Texas Instruments operating at 2.3V to 5.5V VCC, featuring configurable I/O direction and polarity inversion registers. The device provides general-purpose parallel input/output (I/O) expansion for the two-line bidirectional I2C bus (or SMBus) protocol, supporting both 100-kHz (Standard-mode) and 400-kHz (Fast-mode) clock frequencies. I/O expanders such as the PCA9554A provide a simple solution when additional I/Os are needed for switches, sensors, push-buttons, LEDs, fans, and other similar devices. Key features include open-drain active-low interrupt output that alerts the master controller when an input port changes state, three hardware address pins allowing up to eight devices on the same I2C/SMBus, internal power-on reset, noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs, and latched outputs with high-current drive capability for directly driving LEDs. Each I/O can sink up to 25 mA. Housed in a 16-pin VQFN (RGV) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
