PCA9555DB TI I/O Expanders

The PCA9555DB is a 16-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O expander from Texas Instruments, packaged in a 24-pin SSOP (DB) package. The device provides general-purpose parallel input/output expansion for the two-line bidirectional I2C bus protocol, operating over a supply voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V. It supports both 100-kHz (Standard-mode) and 400-kHz (Fast-mode) clock frequencies. The device features 16 I/O pins (two 8-bit ports) that can be individually configured as input or output via an I/O direction register, along with polarity inversion registers for input polarity configuration. Key features include an open-drain active-low interrupt output for change detection, three hardware address pins allowing up to eight devices on the same I2C/SMBus, internal power-on reset, noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs, and latched outputs with high-current drive capability for directly driving LEDs. Housed in a 24-pin SSOP (DB) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
