PCF8575RGER TI I/O Expanders

The PCF8575RGER is a 16-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O expander from Texas Instruments packaged in a 24-pin VQFN (RGE) package. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and provides general-purpose remote I/O expansion for most microcontroller families via the I2C interface. The device features 16 quasi-bidirectional I/O ports (P0–P17), including latched outputs with high-current drive capability for directly driving LEDs. Each quasi-bidirectional I/O can be used as an input or output without using a data-direction control signal. Key specifications include low standby-current consumption of 10 µA max, open-drain interrupt output, 400 kHz clock frequency, 25 mA sink current capability per I/O, and latch-up performance exceeding 100 mA per JESD 78 Class II. The compact VQFN package makes it suitable for space-constrained applications requiring 16-bit I/O expansion. Housed in a 24-pin VQFN (RGE) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
