SCANSTA112SM is an IEEE 1149.1 compliant JTAG scan bridge controller from Texas Instruments, used to build hierarchical boundary scan test architectures for complex digital systems. It acts as a multi-port JTAG multiplexer, routing primary JTAG test signals to multiple secondary scan chains and supporting device daisy-chaining for unified multi-chip testing. It fully implements standard JTAG functions including bypass, sample/preload and full scan modes, and is configured through a simple 3-wire serial interface. Operating at 3V to 3.6V, it features low power consumption and integrated ESD protection, working across -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature range. It is the preferred choice for FPGA and CPLD board-level testing, embedded system hardware debugging, multi-chip module verification and production boundary scan test platforms for complex electronic assemblies.
