SN65176BDR TI Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers
The SN65176BDR is a differential bus transceiver from Texas Instruments designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It meets the requirements of ANSI Standards TIA/EIA-422-B, TIA/EIA-485-A, and ITU Recommendations V.11 and X.27. The device features a 3-state differential driver and a differential input receiver with high input impedance, allowing up to 32 transceivers on the bus. It operates from a single 5V supply and supports data rates up to 10 Mbps. The driver features current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection against bus fault conditions. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include industrial automation, motor control, building automation, telecommunications equipment, and any system requiring RS-485 or RS-422 multipoint data transmission.
