The SN65C3232DR is a dual-channel RS-232 line driver/receiver from Texas Instruments, consisting of two drivers and two receivers. It operates from a single 3V to 5.5V supply and features low supply current, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The device meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F standards and operates at data signaling rates up to 250 kbit/s. The charge pump requires only four 0.1µF external capacitors for operation. The device accepts 5V logic input with 3.3V supply. Housed in a 16-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include notebook computers, PDAs, telecommunications equipment, and any system requiring dual-channel RS-232 communication with low power consumption.
