The SN65HVD1787 is a fault-protected RS-485 transceiver with bus-pin protection up to ±70 V, operating from a 3.15-V to 5.5-V supply. It supports data rates up to 1 Mbps and features a wide common-mode range of –20 V to +25 V, 1/8 unit-load receiver allowing up to 256 nodes, and failsafe receiver output. Packaged in an 8-pin SOIC (D), it is ideal for industrial communication networks requiring robustness against bus faults.
