The SN65HVD20DR is a 5-V RS-485 transceiver from Texas Instruments designed for high-speed industrial applications, supporting data rates up to 25 Mbps. It features a wide common-mode voltage range of -7V to +12V, 1/8-unit load allowing up to 256 nodes on the bus, and bus-pin ESD protection. The device includes a fail-safe receiver, low-power shutdown mode, and thermal shutdown protection. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
