The SN65HVD232 is a 3.3V CAN transceiver compliant with the ISO 11898-2 standard. It supports data rates up to 1 Mbps and features low-power standby mode. Unlike many competitors, this device does not require a 5V supply, drawing power directly from a 3.3V rail. It features differential signaling with high common-mode rejection and thermal shutdown protection. Selection is ideal for low-voltage, high-speed industrial buses. Typical applications include portable instrumentation, battery management systems, and 3.3V DSP or microcontroller-based CAN nodes in factory automation and building control networks.
