The SN65HVD30DR is a high-speed RS-485 transceiver from Texas Instruments operating from a single 3.3V supply. It is designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines, meeting the requirements of TIA/EIA-485-A standard. The device supports data rates up to 26 Mbps and allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus due to its 1/8-unit load receiver input impedance. Features include a differential driver and receiver, thermal shutdown protection, open-circuit fail-safe receiver, and power-up/down glitch-free operation for hot-pluggable applications. The driver features current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection against bus fault conditions. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
