The SN65HVD72 is a 3.3-V half-duplex RS-485 transceiver with robust ESD protection, supporting data rates up to 250kbps. It operates from a 3V to 3.6V supply and features a 1/8 unit-load receiver allowing up to 256 nodes on a single bus. The device includes failsafe receiver output for open, shorted, or idle buses and a wide common-mode range of –7V to +12V. Packaged in an 8-pin VSSOP (DGK) (3mm × 3mm), it is ideal for industrial communication networks requiring low-power 3.3V RS-485 operation.
