The SN74AHCT540 is an octal inverting buffer and line driver with 3-state outputs, operating from 4.5V to 5.5V supply. It features TTL-compatible input thresholds for direct interfacing with TTL logic. The device provides two active-low output enable pins for flexible control, allowing independent enabling of the 8-bit bus. Outputs are inverting with high drive capability of ±8mA at 5V. Propagation delay is 7.2ns typical. Selection is ideal for 5V mixed TTL/CMOS bus driving requiring inverting function.
