The SN74HC157 is a quad 2-input multiplexer that selects data from two sources (A or B) for each of four outputs, operating from 2V to 6V supply. It features a common select input that determines which data inputs are routed to the outputs, and a common output enable (OE) that forces all four outputs high when asserted. Propagation delay is 15ns typical at 5V. The device provides true outputs (non-inverting) and high drive capability. The SN74HC157 is ideal for routing data from two different sources to a common bus. Selection is suited for data source selection in high-speed CMOS systems.
