SN74HC393PWR TI Counters, Dividers

The SN74HC393 is a dual 4-bit binary ripple counter with individual clock and master reset inputs, operating from 2V to 6V supply. It features two independent 4-bit counters in a single 14-pin package, with each counter having its own clock input and master reset. The counters are negative-edge triggered and provide four buffered outputs (Q0 to Q3) per counter. The master reset asynchronously clears all four bits of the respective counter when high. Typical counting frequency is 25MHz at 5V, with propagation delay of 27ns. The SN74HC393 offers higher counting speed than CD4020 equivalents and lower power consumption. Selection is ideal for frequency division and counting applications requiring two independent counters in one package. Applications include digital clocks, frequency dividers for PLL circuits, event counters, time-delay generation, and ripple counting in consumer appliances and automotive electronics.
