SN74HC540PWR TI Buffers, Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers
The SN74HC540 is an octal buffer and line driver with inverting 3-state outputs, operating from 2V to 6V supply. It features a 2-input NOR output enable gate: if either OE1 or OE2 is high, all eight outputs are in high-impedance state. The pinout places inputs on the opposite side from outputs, greatly facilitating PCB layout. The device provides high-drive capability of ±6mA at 5V with typical propagation delay of 8ns and low power consumption of 80µA maximum ICC. Low input current is 1µA max. Selection is ideal for driving bus lines directly or up to 15 LSTTL loads. Applications include memory address drivers, backplane bus interfacing, data bus buffering in microprocessor systems, and industrial controls requiring inverted 3-state buffering with wide 2V to 6V operating range .
