The SN74HCT245 is an octal bus transceiver with 3-state outputs for bidirectional bus communication, operating from a 4.5-V to 5.5-V supply. It features TTL-compatible input thresholds for direct interfacing with TTL logic while providing CMOS output levels. Direction control (DIR) determines data flow (A to B or B to A), and output enable (OE) disables both ports for bus isolation. High drive capability supports bus driving without external components. Propagation delay is 12 ns typical at 5 V. Packaged in a 20-pin SOIC (DW) (12.8 mm × 7.5 mm), the SN74HCT245 is standard for 5-V mixed TTL/CMOS bus systems.
