The SN74HCT245 is an octal bus transceiver with 3-state outputs for bidirectional bus communication, operating from 4.5V to 5.5V supply. It features TTL-compatible input thresholds for direct interfacing with TTL logic while providing CMOS output levels. Direction control (DIR) determines data flow (A to B or B to A), and output enable (OE) disables both ports for bus isolation. High drive capability supports bus driving without external components. Propagation delay is 12ns typical at 5V. Packaged in 20-pin SO (NSR). Selection is standard for 5V mixed TTL/CMOS bus systems requiring bidirectional 8-bit data transfer.
