The SN74LVC244A is an octal buffer and line driver with 3-state outputs, featuring two independent 4-bit buffers each with its own output enable pin (active-low). It operates from 1.65V to 3.6V supply and features 5V-tolerant inputs for mixed-voltage applications. The device provides high output drive capability of ±24mA at 3.3V with propagation delay of 3.7ns typical. Quiescent current is 20µA maximum. The SN74LVC244A is the non-inverting version of the LVC240. Selection is ideal for low-voltage bus-oriented systems requiring high drive and low propagation delay for driving highly capacitive loads. Applications include memory address drivers, backplane bus interfacing in portable systems, data bus buffering in microprocessor-based designs, and peripheral driving in industrial controls and consumer electronics.
