The SN74LVC244A is an octal buffer and line driver with 3-state outputs, featuring two independent 4-bit buffers each with its own active-low output enable. It operates from 1.65V to 5.5V supply with 5V-tolerant inputs for mixed-voltage translation. Output drive is ±24mA at 3.3V with propagation delay of 3.7ns typical. Quiescent current is 20µA maximum. Packaged in 20-pin TSSOP. Selection is ideal for low-voltage bus-oriented systems requiring high drive and low propagation delay. Applications include memory address drivers, backplane bus interfacing in portable systems, data bus buffering in microprocessor-based designs, and peripheral driving in industrial controls and consumer electronics.
