SN75176BDR TI Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers
The SN75176BDR is a differential bus transceiver from Texas Instruments designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It is designed for balanced transmission lines and meets the requirements of ANSI Standards TIA/EIA-422-B, TIA/EIA-485-A, and ITU Recommendations V.11 and X.27. The device features a 3-state differential driver and a differential input receiver with high input impedance, allowing up to 32 transceivers on the bus. It operates from a single 5V supply and supports data rates up to 10 Mbps. The driver features current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection against bus fault conditions. The receiver includes a fail-safe feature that ensures a logic-high output when inputs are open or shorted. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over 0°C to 70°C. Applications include industrial automation, motor control, building automation, telecommunications equipment, and any system requiring RS-485 or RS-422 multipoint data transmission.
