ST232CDR ST Drivers and Receivers

The ST232CDR is a 5V powered multi-channel RS-232 line driver/receiver from STMicroelectronics in SO-16 package, featuring two drivers and two receivers following EIA/TIA-232 and V.28 communication standards. For selection, verify single 5V supply from 4.5V to 5.5V, data rate of 220kbps typical, transmitter output voltage swing of ±7.8V typical, receiver input voltage range of ±30V, supply current of 5mA no load, controlled output slew rate, and commercial operating temperature from 0°C to +70°C. Requires only four 0.1µF external capacitors, eliminating the need for ±12V supplies. Compatible with MAX232 and MAX202 devices for drop-in replacement.
