ST3222EBPR ST Transceivers

The ST3222EBPR from ST is a 3V powered RS-232 transceiver with two drivers and two receivers, featuring enhanced ESD protection to ±8kV IEC contact discharge and ±15kV HBM. The device supports up to 250kbps data rates and maintains compliant RS-232 output levels over a 3V to 5.5V supply range. Its receiver has 500mV hysteresis for superior noise immunity, and a low 1µA shutdown current extends battery life in power-sensitive circuits. In application, it excels in notebooks, palmtops and handheld equipment, battery-powered instruments, point-of-sale terminals, and industrial peripherals such as printers and barcode scanners where robust RS-232 serial communication is required.
