The ST3232BDR is a 3V to 5.5V powered RS-232 transceiver from STMicroelectronics in SO-16 package, featuring two drivers and two receivers with 400kbps data rate capability. For selection, verify single 3V to 5.5V supply, 300µA supply current, 1µA shutdown current for power conservation, ESD protection ±15kV on RS-232 pins, meets TIA/EIA-232-F standards, and operating temperature from -40°C to +85°C. Features include proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage, 6V/µs minimum slew rate, and requires only four 0.1µF external capacitors.
