The T1635H-8G-TR from ST is an 800 V, 16 A (RMS) standard TRIAC in a surface‑mount D²PAK package, purpose‑built for compact, high‑temperature AC load switching. For selection, it features a 1.3 V max gate trigger voltage, a 35 mA max gate trigger current, a 35 mA max holding current, and a high 160 A/168 A surge capability (50/60 Hz). The Snubberless™ high‑temperature technology delivers high static dV/dt immunity (>2 kV/µs) and robust dynamic turn‑off commutation up to a Tjmax of 150 °C, eliminating external snubbers in many designs. The ECOPACK®2‑compliant package reduces heatsink size in confined layouts. In application, it safely optimizes the control of universal motors, heaters, and inductive loads in industrial controls and home appliances.
