The T435-700B-TR from STMicroelectronics is a 700V Snubberless™ alternistor TRIAC designed for robust AC power control with simplified design. For selection, its key advantage is the Snubberless technology, which provides exceptional static dV/dt immunity, typically >1kV/µs, eliminating the need for external snubber circuits. It handles 4A RMS on-state current with a sensitive 35mA gate trigger current, enabling direct drive from microcontrollers or low-power optocouplers. The high 30A non-repetitive surge current handles inrush. The D-Pak surface-mount package suits modern automated assembly while providing good thermal performance. In application, it excels in motor control for small home appliances like mixers and fans, and as a solid-state relay in industrial automation.
