TCA9509DGKR TI Signal Buffers, Repeaters, Splitters

The TCA9509DGKR is a bidirectional I2C bus and SMBus level translator and buffer from Texas Instruments designed for mixed-voltage systems. The device enables seamless communication between I2C devices operating at different logic levels while providing signal buffering to isolate bus capacitance. It features hot-swap capability, precharge on SDA and SCL lines to prevent data corruption during live insertion, and supports clock stretching and arbitration. The device operates over a wide supply voltage range compatible with low-voltage applications. Housed in an 8-pin VSSOP (DGK) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include multi-voltage I2C systems, SMBus interfaces, level translation between different logic families, and live-insertion I/O cards.
