The TCA9509RVHR is a 2-bit level-translating I2C bus and SMBus buffer/repeater from Texas Instruments designed for bidirectional communication between mixed-voltage systems . The device features a B-side operating voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and an A-side operating voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V, enabling voltage-level translation from 0.9V up to 5.5V . It includes an internal 1mA current source requiring no external pullup resistors on the lower-voltage port-A, supports clock stretching and arbitration across the repeater, and features lockup-free operation . The device accommodates Standard-mode and Fast-mode I2C devices with operating speeds up to 400 kHz . Housed in an 8-pin X2QFN (RVH) package (1.6mm × 1.6mm, 0.4mm height, 0.5mm pitch) , it operates over -40°C to 85°C .
