TCA9534APWR TI I/O Expanders

The TCA9534A is an 8-bit remote I2C low-power I/O expander with interrupt output, configuration registers, and active-low reset. It operates from 1.65 V to 5.5 V and supports I2C bus speeds up to 400 kHz (Fast Mode). The device provides eight GPIO pins that can be independently configured as inputs or outputs with built-in pull-up resistors. An open-drain interrupt output signals input changes, reducing host polling overhead. The active-low reset initializes registers to default state. Three address pins allow up to eight devices on the same bus (64 total I/Os). Packaged in 16-pin TSSOP, this expander is optimal for expanding GPIO capabilities of microcontrollers. Applications include portable electronics, server management, industrial controls, telecom equipment, automotive body electronics, and keyboard/button sensing requiring additional I/O lines.
