TCA9539RTWR TI I/O Expanders

The TCA9539RTWR is a 16-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O expander from Texas Instruments designed for 1.65V to 5.5V VCC operation, offering general-purpose parallel input/output expansion for the two-line bidirectional I2C bus protocol. The device supports both 100-kHz (Standard-mode) and 400-kHz (Fast-mode) I2C clock frequencies, providing a simple solution when additional I/Os are needed for switches, sensors, push-buttons, LEDs, fans, and other similar devices. Key features include open-drain active-low interrupt output that alerts the master when input port states change, configurable I/O direction registers, polarity inversion registers, internal power-on reset, noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs, and latched outputs with high-current drive capability for directly driving LEDs. The device has three hardware address pins allowing up to eight devices on the same I2C/SMBus, and each I/O can sink up to 25 mA and source up to 10 mA. Housed in a 24-pin WQFN (RTW) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
