The TCA9548A is an 8-channel I2C bus switch with I2C interface, operating from 1.65 V to 5.5 V supply. It allows any combination of 8 downstream I2C buses to be connected to a single upstream bus, enabling selection of one channel at a time. The device features power-on reset, control register, and interrupt lines for each channel. Up to eight devices can be on the same bus using address pins. Packaged in a 24-pin VQFN (RGE), this switch is ideal for I2C bus expansion and isolation. Applications include servers, data centers, telecom equipment, industrial control systems, and any system requiring multiple I2C devices with the same address on separate buses, enabling efficient bus management.
