The TCA9617B is a level-translating FM+ I2C bus repeater supporting bidirectional voltage translation between 0.8 V to 5.5 V on the A-side and 2.2 V to 5.5 V on the B-side . It supports standard mode, fast mode (400 kHz), and fast mode+ (1 MHz) I2C speeds . The device buffers both SDA and SCL signals, allowing two buses of up to 550 pF to be connected without performance degradation . Lockup-free operation and powered-off high-impedance I2C bus pins are included . Selection is ideal for extending I2C bus reach and isolating bus capacitance. Applications include servers, routers (telecom switching equipment), industrial equipment, and products with many I2C targets or long PCB traces requiring voltage translation and bus buffering .
