TCAL6408PWR TI I/O Expanders

The TCAL6408PWR is an 8-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O expander from Texas Instruments featuring Agile I/O technology with enhanced I/O performance in terms of speed, power consumption, and EMI. The device operates with dual power supplies: 1.08V to 3.6V on the I2C bus side (VCCI) and 1.08V to 3.6V on the P-port side (VCCP), allowing bidirectional voltage-level translation and GPIO expansion between 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V systems. The device supports 100-kHz (Standard-mode), 400-kHz (Fast-mode), and 1-MHz (Fast-mode Plus) I2C clock frequencies. Key features include programmable output drive strength for optimizing EMI and power consumption, programmable pull-up and pull-down resistors on each I/O, latchable inputs for glitch filtering, maskable interrupt with interrupt status register, programmable open-drain or push-pull outputs, low standby current consumption, hardware address pin allowing two devices on the same bus, active-low reset input, and open-drain active-low interrupt output. Housed in a 16-pin TSSOP (PW) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
