The TCAN1042HDRQ1 is an automotive-grade (AEC-Q100) CAN FD transceiver from Texas Instruments, fully compliant with the ISO 11898-2:2016 standard. It supports classical CAN and CAN FD data rates up to 8 Mbps and features a wide common-mode voltage range for robust operation. The device includes a low-power standby mode, remote wake-up capability, and thermal shutdown protection. The "H" version offers enhanced drive capability. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 150°C. Applications include automotive CAN FD networks, body control modules, and any AEC-Q100 qualified CAN applications requiring extended temperature range.
