The TCAN1145DRQ1 is an automotive-grade (AEC-Q100) CAN (Controller Area Network) transceiver with partial networking support from Texas Instruments, fully compliant with the ISO 11898-2:2016 standard and supporting CAN FD (Flexible Data-Rate) up to 5 Mbps. It features a wide common-mode voltage range for robust operation in automotive environments and includes selective wake-up capability for partial networking, reducing system power consumption by allowing specific ECUs to remain in sleep mode while the bus is active. Key features include thermal shutdown protection, a low-power sleep and standby mode, a fail-safe receiver ensuring a logic-high output when the bus is undriven, TXD dominant timeout protection, and bus fault protection. The device includes an INH output for controlling external voltage regulators, further optimizing power consumption. Housed in a 14-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 150°C. Applications include automotive CAN bus networks requiring partial networking, body control modules, gateway ECUs, battery management systems (BMS), infotainment systems, and any automotive CAN FD network requiring AEC-Q100 qualification.
