TCM29C17AN is a dedicated DTMF receiver IC from Texas Instruments, engineered to decode standard telephone dual-tone multi-frequency signals for communication and control systems. It operates at 2.7 V to 5.5 V with low power consumption, integrating band-pass filters, PLL and digital decoding logic to accurately separate high and low DTMF tone groups. A 4-bit parallel binary output presents decoded digits, and a valid detect flag assists system synchronization. It features superior noise immunity to suppress background interference and ensure stable decoding in complex acoustic environments. This device adopts a 16-pin DIP package, working across standard commercial temperature range. It applies to telephone peripherals, access control panels, remote command systems, telemetry devices and voice communication equipment using DTMF signaling.
