The THVD2410 is a robust half-duplex RS-485 transceiver operating from 3V to 5.5V supply, supporting data rates up to 500kbps. It features wide common-mode range of -7V to +12V, 1/8 unit-load receiver allowing up to 256 nodes on a single bus, and failsafe receiver output for open, shorted, or idle buses. Bus pins provide ±12kV IEC ESD protection. Supply current is 320µA typical. Selection is ideal for industrial communication networks requiring robust performance. Applications include factory automation (PLCs), HVAC systems, building automation, utility meters, and motor drives requiring reliable long-distance serial communication with low power consumption.
