The THVD4431RHAR is a multi-protocol RS-232/RS-485 transceiver from Texas Instruments, capable of operating in either RS-232 or RS-485 mode via a mode selection pin . It operates over a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V and supports RS-485 data rates up to 10 Mbps and RS-232 data rates up to 250 kbps . The device features robust ESD protection on bus I/O pins and a 1/8-unit load allowing up to 256 nodes on the RS-485 bus . Housed in a 40-pin VQFN (RHA) package, it operates over -40°C to 125°C .
