The TIP115 is a PNP Darlington bipolar power transistor from STMicroelectronics in TO-220 through-hole package, featuring 60V collector-emitter voltage, 2A continuous collector current, and very high DC current gain (hFE) due to Darlington configuration. For selection, verify collector-emitter saturation voltage of 2.5V max at 2A, collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 60V, built-in base-emitter resistors for improved stability, and power dissipation with proper heatsinking. Features include Darlington configuration for very high current gain, low saturation voltage for reduced conduction losses, and complementary NPN type TIP110 for push-pull designs.
