TLC6989DRRR TI LED Drivers

TLC6989DRRR is a dedicated interface IC from Texas Instruments that enables general SPI hosts to control the TLC698x series high-current LED drivers. It operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and supports SPI and CCSI communication interfaces up to 20MHz. An internal free-running oscillator generates continuous clock signals for cascaded TLC698x devices, and programmable clock jitter optimizes system EMI performance. Built-in CRC check protects transmission data, while stuck-line fault protection ensures communication integrity. It provides comprehensive fault reporting for daisy-chain link errors and internal faults, with an open-drain fault pin and data-ready interrupt output. It works reliably across industrial temperature range, ideal for large LED display panels, industrial signage, outdoor billboards and automotive ambient lighting systems using TLC698x driver chains.
