The TLIN2021ADRBRQ1 is an automotive-grade (AEC-Q100 Grade 1) Local Interconnect Network (LIN) physical layer transceiver from Texas Instruments, designed for low-speed in-vehicle networking applications. It complies with LIN 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2A, ISO 17987-4, and SAE J2602 standards, and supports both 12-V and 24-V applications with a wide VSUP range of 4.5V to 45V. The transmitter supports data rates up to 20 kbps, while the receiver supports up to 100 kbps. The device features an integrated 45-kΩ LIN pull-up resistor, an INH output pin for system-level power control, and a low-power sleep mode with wake-up capability via LIN bus, WAKE pin, or EN pin. Protection features include ±60-V LIN bus fault tolerance, 58-V load dump support, undervoltage protection, TXD dominant time-out, thermal shutdown, and unpowered node fail-safe. Housed in an 8-pin VSON (DRB) package with wettable flanks, it operates over -40°C to 125°C. Applications include automotive body electronics, lighting modules, door modules, seat control modules, and any LIN bus network requiring AEC-Q100 qualification and low-power operation.
