The TLV1117 is a positive low-dropout linear regulator providing up to 800mA output current with a fixed 2.5V output. It operates from 2.4V to 15V input and features a low dropout voltage of 1.3V typical at full load. The device is stable with ceramic, tantalum, or aluminum electrolytic output capacitors. Built-in protection includes current limiting and thermal shutdown. The TLV1117-25 provides 1% output voltage accuracy at room temperature. Selection is ideal for local 2.5V regulation from 3.3V or 5V supplies. Applications include low-voltage logic power supplies, DDR memory termination (VTT), and post-regulation for switching converters in industrial controls, consumer electronics, and computing peripherals.
