For selection, key ratings are a 600V off‑state, 12.7A average on‑state current, a 197A surge capability, and only 40mA holding current. The design handles 100A/µs di/dt, keeps off‑state leakage below 5µA, and operates from −40°C to +150°C. In application, the SCR targets motorbike voltage regulators, inrush‑current limiters, motor‑control starters, light dimmers, solid‑state relays, and industrial heating controls, where its sensitive gate simplifies trigger circuits and its high temperature rating boosts thermal reliability.
