The TPD12S521 is a complete HDMI transmitter port protection and interface device. It integrates 12 channels of ESD protection for HDMI signals, an I2C level shifter for DDC bus, and a 5V current-limited load switch for HDMI 5V output. The device protects against ESD strikes up to ±8kV contact discharge (IEC 61000-4-2) on all HDMI lines. It operates from 1V to 5.5V supply and consumes only 110µA nominal supply current. The TPD12S521 simplifies HDMI port design by consolidating multiple discrete components into a single 38-pin TSSOP package. Selection is optimal for portable and space-constrained HDMI source devices.
