The TPS2065C is a single-channel power-distribution switch for USB and other hot-swap applications, operating from 2.7V to 5.5V and providing 1.5A continuous current. The device features accurate current limiting (1.1A to 2.7A typical), thermal shutdown with auto-retry, and undervoltage lockout. On-resistance is 70mΩ typical. The TPS2065C includes fault reporting via open-drain flag output (active-low), signaling overcurrent or overtemperature conditions. Selection is ideal for USB bus-powered devices requiring single downstream port with power control and protection. Applications include USB downstream ports on desktop and notebook computers, power muxing in portable electronics, industrial control systems, and power-sequencing circuits requiring protected single-channel power distribution with fault indication.
