The TPS22916C is a single-channel load switch with controlled turn-on and integrated reverse current protection, operating from 1.0 V to 5.5 V and supporting up to 2 A continuous current. It features ultra-low on-resistance of 50 mΩ typical at 5 V, minimizing voltage drop and power loss. The device includes a slow turn-on feature (200 µs typical) to reduce inrush current, reverse current protection when disabled, and quick output discharge. Quiescent current is 1 µA typical. Packaged in a 4-pin DSBGA (0.8 mm × 0.8 mm), this load switch is ideal for ultra-compact battery-powered systems. Applications include power gating in smartphones and tablets, battery charging circuit isolation, load switching in wearables, and power supply sequencing in portable medical devices requiring minimal board space.
