The TPS2378 is an IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD) interface controller with auxiliary power priority control . It integrates a robust 100 V, 0.5 Ω hot-swap MOSFET supporting an operating current up to 850 mA with a 1 A typical current limit . Features include IEEE 802.3at Type 2 hardware classification with a status flag, an adapter priority input, and a DC/DC converter enable . The device includes 15 kV and 8 kV system-level ESD capability and automatic retry fault protection . Selection is ideal for high-power PoE applications requiring IEEE 802.3at compliance.
