The TPS54329 is a 3-A synchronous step-down converter with D-CAP2™ mode control requiring no external compensation, operating from a 4.5-V to 18-V input. It features 650-kHz switching frequency, integrates low RDS(on) MOSFETs, and includes pre-biased startup, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown. Packaged in an 8-pin SO PowerPAD (DDA) (4.9 mm × 3.91 mm), it is ideal for point-of-load (POL) conversion in set-top boxes, broadband modems, routers, and digital TV power supplies.
