TPS54821RHLR TI Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators
The TPS54821 is a 8A synchronous step-down converter with integrated MOSFETs, operating from 4.5V to 17V input and providing adjustable output from 0.6V to 6V. It features an integrated low RDS(on) MOSFETs (10mΩ/6mΩ) for high efficiency up to 95%. Switching frequency is adjustable from 200kHz to 2MHz, allowing optimization between efficiency and solution size. The device features D-CAP™ control for fast transient response and requires no external compensation. Built-in protection includes current limiting, thermal shutdown, and voltage protection. Selection is ideal for high-current point-of-load (POL) conversion in space-constrained designs requiring excellent thermal performance. Applications include high-density networking cards, digital TV power supplies, FPGA and ASIC core rails in servers, storage equipment, and telecommunications systems requiring 8A output capability.
