The TPS563211 is a 3A synchronous step-down converter with integrated MOSFETs, operating from 4.2V to 18V input. It features D-CAP3™ mode control requiring no external compensation, with 600kHz switching frequency. The device integrates low RDS(on) MOSFETs (86mΩ/50mΩ) for high efficiency up to 95% at 12V to 5V conversion. Quiescent current is 35µA typical. Built-in protection includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. The TPS563211 is available in SOT-583-6 package. Selection is ideal for point-of-load (POL) conversion in consumer and industrial applications. Applications include set-top boxes, broadband modems, routers, consumer electronics, and general-purpose step-down conversion requiring 3A output.
