The TPS61041 is a boost converter with a 1-A switch current limit, operating from 1.8 V to 5.5 V input and delivering up to 28 V output . It features a 1-MHz fixed switching frequency and low 50-µA quiescent current. The device provides true shutdown isolation, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and internal soft-start . An external compensation pin allows optimization of the control loop for different output voltages and loads. Operating temperature range is –40°C to 85°C. Selection is ideal for battery-powered bias supplies and portable applications requiring high output voltage. Applications include LCD bias supplies for portable displays, white LED backlight drivers, portable medical instruments, and battery backup systems requiring high voltage from low input sources.
